Replace your filters every 3-4 months. In ducted range hoods, this aluminum mesh filter is the only one that is needed since air exits out of the kitchen. In ductless (non-vented or recirculating) range hoods, this filter works in combination with the charcoal filter to provide clean air (for a fresher kitchen), less cooking smells, and helps prevent kitchen fires.
