It is a direct replacement for the Whirlpool, and it includes the OEM plug for a factory-clean installation. Why should you buy this one instead of a cheaper "Universal Fit" igniter? This one plugs right in so you get a factory-new installation. With the universal fit igniters you'll have to cut your wires and use wire nuts to install it.
